19 of the Russian's 21 championships have been earned on hard courts
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his initial trophy for over two years with success over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a difficult year, achieving just one win at the big events and suffering a setback at the American major.
The player's varied form on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serving in particular - caused him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually separating with former trainer Gilles Cervara.
Presently training with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently advanced in the past month - climaxing in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over challenger Corentin Moutet.
It is Medvedev's maiden trophy after the Rome competition and maiden on a hardcourt from spring of that year.
Victory also indicates Medvedev has achieved twenty-one championships at 21 different competitions.
"It's the first time I'm at a competition with my children at once, so to get a trophy is really nice," said ranked player Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my younger daughter Victoria, because the initial championship I got when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his past six finals, featuring in that event previously this season.
The player's counter-punching approach and regular emotional displays on the playing surface had prompted observers to wonder if his skill to play at the top level was concluded.
But the 29-year-old has made changes in the past month, attempting to come to the net and play positively, reinforced by an enhanced service.
The champion recovered from a deficit in the first set against the challenging opponent, securing four of the last five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The pair traded service breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, attempting for his initial professional title, took control to create a decider.
Moutet defended 4 initial opportunities in a tight deciding set before Medvedev broke to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, he earned victory with a rally at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to control a return after a lengthy match.
